The pressure's on! Since there are so very many of us located in or very near the Great Lakes State, how about a get-together for the premier of "Is It College Yet?" How many of you Michiganders / Michiganians / other sorts would be interested? And where is our ideal location? Detroit? Lansing? Ann Arbor? SPEAK NOW! We need to coordinate!
My dorm room is "cozy" to say the least, but I'm willing to host if it comes to that.

I'm game. Living near Detroit, and near the major interstates (I-75, I-94, I-696, I-96, and I-275), I can be in any of those places.

Bet my house is "cozier". :-) There's barely enough room for me and my dog to rattle around in here, so my place is out. Besides, my less-than-10-year-old 32" TV just went on the fritz. :-(

Apart from my ante-room, my dorm is about 8ft. by 11ft. There would be room for people to crowd together and watch TV, but not much else. I suppose I could requizition my parents house if I had to ... but that would be *weird*! :-)

Well, I've got a big-screen - and I'm just north of Novi. Ten would really be pushing it in ye condo, though.

I have a car, but no cable. My plan was to go visit my parents that day and tape IICY, but maybe I could beg them to tape it for me and go watch it elsewhere. I live in Ann Arbor, so any of the previously mentioned places would work.

MICHIGAN DARIACON 2002 UPDATE:
Okay, so far our prospective participants are:
John T
Martin J. Pollard
Devilkitty
sam
GirlGenius
Shoebleu
Of these, Devilkitty has a condo and lives in Novi. Sounds like a good central gathering-place to me! Those of you in Ann Arbor or Detroit may want to carpool. If anyone is in or near Lansing, let me know.
Okay, next thing is for Devilkitty to confirm and provide us all with a map and a schedule. If we go out to dinner, I vote for the Red Robin. Mmmmm ... Teriyaki Burger ...
Also, there are a few names that could probably be added to the list. Isn't Katie Cook in Detroit, Martin? And has anyone heard from Guy Payne lately? I thought he was in or near Lansing ...
And remember ... board-flush tomorrow! I'll post this over at SRMB just to make sure it gets preserved.

OK. SWMBO (the "bitter half") hasn't got any major objections. The cats may; they aren't saying - yet.
What I need to know ASAP is:
1. How many are going to show up? I need to know what kind of grub to lay in.
2. What date?
John: There's a Red Robin close by, but the food was substandard the last time I was there :(

Monday, the 21st is the date of the movie premier. Does that work OK for you?

I know I need to drop a few, but I'm not THAT big.
I thought it over and checked with the commandant, and I'd like to go, if you'll have me. Only problem is, I'm carless...I don't know if anyone would like to carpool from Ann Arbor. I'll chip in for gas. Otherwise, I'll rent a car.
