Bland. I'm not real fond of episodes with the original Brittany and FC voices, either. (Of course, I think I've only seen a couple of them.)
|
| 106 - This Year's Model |
Will have to abstain until I actually see it.

| 111 - Road Worrier |
Glad to know Daria has the same opinion of squirrels as I do. I'm a quasi-anti-shipper--wouldn't want to see Daria and Trent actually get together--but watching the shipperesque for what they really are, a young girl with a crush, is highly amusing.
|
| 112 - The Teachings of Don Jake |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 113 - The Misery Chick |
To be honest, I didn't understand this episode completely when it aired the first time, and I still think I'm missing an element. To me, it feels like 10 minutes were chopped out of it or something.

12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 204 - I Don't |
A.J.> One nitpick here Erin is 21, even if we count season 5 as 1 full year instead of a half, Erin should only be 23 in Aunt Nauseam instead she's 24. Perhaps she was nearly 22, so, say, 2 years and 3 months later, she could be 24? Just an idea. I too thought those bridesmaids were incredibly dumb. I liked Luhrman but thought he was pretty much wasted. |
| 205 - That was Then, This is Dumb |
One of the 12 episodes I still haven't seen.
|
| 206 - Monster |
Pretty good episode. Daria reminded me of myself when she was making fun of Quinn. Except that mine would go, "Hi, I'm Angelina. I'm cute and oh-so-popular and every guy who ever meets me falls in love with me that very second, no matter what I'm doing. And if I make fun of someone, especially my sister, you have to laugh, because it's funny." I'm thinking of changing my sig to "By the way, which is my best side?" |

Another Laura-Daria connection. If I'm alone, I'm likely as not talking to myself.
|
| 212 - Pierce Me |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 213 - Write Where It Hurts |
I want to see it! It sounds pretty good.
|
| 301 - Through A Lens Darkly |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 302 - The Old And The Beautiful |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 303 - Depth Takes A Holiday |
Come on...you didn't find the soccer riot comment even the littlest bit funny? I'm not trying to sway you over to enjoying this episode--for most people, it would be easier to convince an elephant that he's an airplane--but you do have to admit there were a couple other funny moments....
Daria: My imaginary friend fell down. Quinn: God, Daria, even your imaginary friends are embarrassing. |
| 304 - Daria Dance Party |
I liked this one. I didn't expect Daria to attend the dance, but I could understand, if Jane decorated it. None of the dances I went to was ever as well decorated as that one.
|
| 305 - The Lost Girls |
The first non-season one ep I saw. I'd only seen 2 1/2 episodes previous to that. Okay episode. I rather enjoyed bits and pieces of it.
|
306 - It Happened One Nut |
Welcome to Lunch World! Munch the nutty nutty? This episode was cute, and no matter how much I watch it, I never get tired of Jane trying to distract Trent and Jesse from spying Daria. However, I too wondered why they didn't have to get new jobs at the end (except then I remembered, oh yeah, it's TV!) |
| 307 - Daria! |
I LOVE this episode. It helps that I am a big fan of musicals in general. They managed to keep what I like about Daria and incorporate it into the musical genre. Something unexpected that, I think, worked.
|
| 308 - Lane Miserables |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 309 - Jake of Hearts |
Okay episode. I've found myself yelling, "Merry Christmas you wonderful old garden gnome!" quite frequently recently. Also, the bunny slave in me (that's a whole 'nother personality) has her favorite line here: Jane: You could always dive into a wooded thicket. Hey, it works for bunnies. I liked the premise of the ep but found it could have been done better. |
| 310 - Speedtrapped |
Daria and I drive pretty much the same way: with our hands firmly grasping the wheel and in fear of large trucks. I thought this episode worked well, with the Daria/Quinn dynamic and also with Jane and Spyryl (hee hee) in jail. Max crying in the jail cell was humorous, and we learn that Trent is less gullible than his band mates. |
| 311 - The Lawndale File |
This is an episode that, based on a synopsis, would seem like it wouldn't work. Luckily, we are in for a pleasant surprise.
|
| 312 - Just Add Water |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 313 - Jane's Addition |
I saw this one AFTER all the season four Tom hoopla. It was good to see the beginning, but seemed anticlimatic after watching DDMD.
|
| 401 - Partner's Complaint |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 402 - Antisocial Climbers |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 403 - A Tree Grows In Lawndale |
A.J.>I'm still trying to figure oue what that thing n Kevin's shirt was supposed to be. So-so ep.
Me too. And I shudder to think about Kevin drinking Yoohoo. |
| 404 - Murder, She Snored |
Not a favorite. Probably because I didn't get most of the references to other shows, since I was never a detective show fan. I did think the Fashion Club was good as Upchuck's Angels. However, I didn't hate it. There have only been two episodes I really disliked. Which brings me to...Camp Fear!
|
| 405 - The 'F' Word |
I LOVE Jane's transformation, even if the fact that she considered staying conventional was a bit stupid. Nothing beats her cheer, and her reaction when she saw O'Neill's apartment. Good Jane. Me like Jane. Unlike some people, I don't find Kevin and Brittany annoying, and Mr. O'Neill doesn't bother me most of the time. (Although I could see how they would irk some people.) For me, there are two parts to characters like K&B: 1. They remind you of someone you know 2. They seem so cartoonish that you know noone could ever seriously be like that I would have liked to see a bit of maturity in them, though, since we get to see it in many of the other characters. |
| 406 - I Loathe A Parade |
This is the first episode I saw during it's original run and the ep that drew me (back) into Daria. I didn't know what had been happening with Daria/Jane/Tom, so I didn't place any significance on the two of them getting along or "the look" at the end until after I'd seen DDMD. That just emphasizes to me that, even without the triangle context, this was just plain an enjoyable episode. Upchuck getting beaten by the cops, Mack and Jodie's moment, Brittany leading the cheerleaders away from the parade, causing mass destruction.... Since I met Tom initially not as Jane's boyfriend or Daria's potential threat but as a guy she had just met in front of the drug store (yeah, I came in a little late), I had a different perspective on him. I found him charming and friendly. This ep remains one of my favorites. |
| 407 - Of Human Bonding |
Snore!
|
| 408 - Psycho Therapy |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 409 - Mart Of Darkness |
I spent some time scratching my head after watching this episode (and also singing, "I like barbeques!") Having seen only a handful of eps previously, I couldn't figure out what was going on. (Such as, who's that girl working at Payday?) Now that I've solved these quandries, it just seems mediocre.
|
| 410 - Legends Of The Mall |
This was entertaining, if you take it for what it is instead of trying to turn it into something deep.
|
| 411 - Groped By An Angel |
I thought this was a good topic, but I've seen spirituality handled better, and not just on Seventh Heaven.
|
| 412 - Fire! |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
413 - Dye! Dye! My Darling |
This was great. One of the first episodes I saw, and I had little to no clue who this Tom guy was, outside of Jane's boyfriend/future ex. (The next episode I saw right afterward was Fire! so I had them in reverse.) I'm actually a soap opera fan (great murder mystery on As the World Turns right now) so I wasn't turned off by that aspect of it. My sister's dated two friends, so I could see how it would happen, and I liked the fallout and cliffhanger.

|
| 502 - Sappy Anniversary |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 503 - Fat Like Me |
A.J.>Excellent episode in so many ways.
Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I LOVE Stacy's explosion when she quits the club. |
| 504 - Camp Fear |
My second-least favorite episode (beaten only by Antisocial Climbers.)I thought the side plot with Jane and Trent was really wasted, and the camp scenes were sort of stupid.
|
| 505 - The Story of D |
"Sappy Anniversary with a Manuscript"... Think my title says most of it. Would have been better if we hadn't just seen the same plot 3 episodes ago. |
| 506 - Lucky Strike |
Another of my favorites (of course!) From the first great line ("That's another habit that can lead to blindness, Upchuck.") to the climax of Quinn's revalation and beyond, I enjoyed every minute of this episode. What's most interesting about this ep, to me, is that it's a story about Daria and Quinn hidden in a plot about the teachers. I don't remember spoilers for this one, but I'm sure they mentioned that there was a teachers' strike at the school. And yeah, the teachers were striking, but it wasn't the A plot by any means. Ken Edwards made me laugh a bit, until I realized that there were actually people IRL* who hoped to blossom woman-children, and girls as dumb as Tiffany who fall for them, without even realizing what's going on. Also, Tom's reaction to Daria's fur bikini. "I lied about the fur bikini." "Damn." |
| 507 - Art Burn |
A good plot idea, but didn't seem to fare as well as it could have. I do enjoy a good Jane-centric episode though, and this was a fair way to spend half an hour.
|
| 508 - One J at a Time |
Family dinners with boyfriends can be embarassing. At least Ryan (my ex) and Todd (my sister's boy) never ran off with my dad during a dinner. Come to think of it, my dad usually wasn't there. Huh. In any case, more proof that Daria and Quinn are a lot alike ("Oh look, shoestring potatoes.") underneath it all, and that Quinn does care what Daria has to say.
|
| 509 - Life in the Past Lane |
Out of the bunch I've seen, this one has to get my vote. Can't really explain.
|
| 510 - Aunt Nauseam |
Realistic bickering. Would be my sister and I in 25 years if we had a third sister. Very petty. I like how Daria and Quinn were able to stop the bickering by pointing out just how petty and rediculous it was. I wish my mom would do that instead of smacking us on the head with her dictionary.
|
| 511 - Prize Fighters |
I found this episode decent, but not nearly as interesting as the other contenders.
|
| 512 - My Night at Daria's |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
|
| 513 - Boxing Daria |
I'm going through this stage right now where I'm trying to find deeper meaning in things that really don't have any. I'm also trying to be more adult and make amends with my parents...which isn't working out so well. I thought this was a great close to a show that I love so dearly. (Yes, I know that IICY is the real close, but so what.)
