Being a fencesitter, I couldn't really pick this one over TLF, but real close tie. Jane tormenting Daria over her crush on Trent, The greasy spoon scene, The "B" plot complemented nicely. "Just remember to take plenty of rest breaks and stay hydrated." and "You go on to Alternapalooza, and I'll stay here and emerge tomorrow in my new life as a waitress."

tDH Has always been one of my faves, mostly for the quotes/lifts/steals from all the 'Nam movies (the horror,the horror!) and when they left Sandi behind a la "Platoon". I thought the "B" plot was good, as it provided a counterpoint as well as another blockbuster to steal/lift/quote from.

Vanity can always provide a good story,and the exchange in the bathroom was masterful. Quinn's reaction to Daria's question opened a new direction in their relationship IMHO.

Far and away the best, in my twisted little Cold War-child mind. Come on! Communism and Extra-terrestrials, self-induced mind games? The Mulder/Scully clones? Artie!!! Now there's an underused character if I ever saw one! And Comrade Jake, the Sellout? I chuckle just thinking about it. My favorite line: "Come on now, aliens don't hide in the bushes. It's probably a stalker. Yes,it's just a stalker out to plant a teen in a shallow grave. I feel much better now." Another line: "We should be upset now, right?" "I don't know, Daria. Those oufits look pretty good."

402 had some glaring mistakes, especially regarding weather conditions. As a native Buffalonian,and after living in Utah(Greatest Snow in Earth) Yeah, they over reacted a bit to that dusting,but none of them were really prepared for weather of that type,but just remember,IT'S A CARTOON! and they needed it to carry the story.

Good gags in this one,some fairly deep dialogue,and we get to see(almost) the whole fashion club throw up. It was kinda nice to see Daria be kind to Quinn, and hear an (almost)song from MS Too many forced parts, though. "There's no commision involved, is there?" in reverential tones, and the look betwee Helen and Jake, was probably the best lines in it.

Yeah,it wasn't funny, but it still was one of the greatest eps ever, just because it's a cartoon doesn't mean it has to have non-stop gags,or running commentary on others stupidity.

My personal assesment of "Fizz Ed" is, That though it was a disappointing episode, might it not be construed as a protest(by the creators and staff) against the policies of MTV and Viacom to be outlets for corporate advertising? (Say commercial tie-ins, folks) And might it not be possible that OH was cancelled simply because the advertising revenue possibles (real term) weren't worth the expenditure involved? In little words, the corporate whores couldn't put enough product placements in the show to justify it's existence,mind numbing commercials excluded.Sorry for veering off the thread,but I had to say it.
