| 101 - Esteemsters |

| 102 - The Invitation |
It set the tone for the entire series, and gave us a good look at what sort of people these characters were.
| 103 - College Bored |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 104 - Cafe Disaffecto |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 105 - Malled |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 106 - This Year's Model |
It just didn’t do anything for me.
| 107 - The Lab Brat |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 108 - Pinch Sitter |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 109 - Too Cute |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 110 - The Big House |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 111 - Road Worrier |
This is almost the definitive Daria episode. It’s got everything.
| 112 - The Teachings of Don Jake |
Two words: Glitter Berries. The whole
concept of the camping trip is riotous, from their various problems to the
solution to them all. And the B-plot, with the Lane family reunion, is likewise
hilarious.
| 113 - The Misery Chick |
The Misery Chick gave us great insight into Daria’s character as well as the importance of her friendship with Jane.
| 201 - Arts 'N Crass" |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 202 - The Daria Hunter |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 203 - Quinn the Brain |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 204 - I Don't |
Aunt Amy would be reason enough [for this to be my favorite '04], but the whole wedding fiasco is hilarious. The B-plot with the bridal show could have been better, though.
| 205 - That was Then, This is Dumb |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 206 - Monster |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 207 - The New Kid |
Ted was a great character, one I wish I’d seen more of. He found the perfect counter to Daria’s sarcasm without even realizing it – total, complete naiveté. And it was great to see her in a dating situation, or close to it.
| 208 - Gifted |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 209 - Ill |
Not that it was that bad, I just felt like it could have been better.
| 210 - Fair Enough |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 211 - See Jane Run |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 212 - Pierce Me |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 213 - Write Where It Hurts |
Write Where it Hurts was just plain funny.
| 301 - Through A Lens Darkly |
Daria showed some much-needed vulnerability, Aunt Amy was in it, and it was funny. Plus, I liked the twist where Brittany is the hero.
| 302 - The Old And The Beautiful |
It just wasn’t quite as good as the others.
| 303 - Depth Takes A Holiday |
The reason I hated it was because this was when Daria dropped in status from “animated TV show” to “cartoon”. The whole thing was ludicrous.
| 304 - Daria Dance Party |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 305 - The Lost Girls |
I hate Val. What the hell kind of moron is she? Even the Fashion Club one-upped her. I couldn’t for a moment believe she was running an “edgy” teen magazine.
306 - It Happened One Nut |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 307 - Daria! |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 308 - Lane Miserables |
This episode is practically required watching for the Daria fan. We meet all the wandering Lanes, we get plenty of Daria + Trent, and there isn’t a moment that’s not a kick to watch.
| 309 - Jake of Hearts |
We get some much-needed insight into Jake, a little applied melodrama, and you have to give credit to a show that can make someone having a heart attack a funny event.
| 310 - Speedtrapped |
The Daria-Quinn interaction was great, we got to know the band a little better, and we met the guy who met Jimmy Hendrix!
| 311 - The Lawndale File |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 312 - Just Add Water |
It wasn’t that bad, but
it wasn’t that great either. Another rather contrived
plot.
| 313 - Jane's Addition |
Jane’s Addition gave us Tom, which gave us more tension and growth, and it was a welcome relief to know that not every guy in Lawndale falls into one of two categories: Losers and Mack.
| 401 - Partner's Complaint |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 402 - Antisocial Climbers |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 403 - A Tree Grows In Lawndale |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 404 - Murder, She Snored |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 405 - The 'F' Word |
I can just see O’Neill assigning something like that. And, I love the tragic result of it all. You know, I can't for the life of me figure out why this episode gets so much bad press. I found it hilarious. I really rather enjoyed the concept of Jane going mainstream, and the relative ease with which she did it might just freak her out sufficiently to consider that maybe that was where she belonged. |
| 406 - I Loathe A Parade |
I Loathe a Parade was funny, involved everyone, and marked the start of the Daria-Tom-Jane love triangle, which really spiced up the series.
| 407 - Of Human Bonding |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 408 - Psycho Therapy |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 409 - Mart Of Darkness |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 410 - Legends Of The Mall |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 411 - Groped By An Angel |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 412 - Fire! |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
413 - Dye! Dye! My Darling |
Dye! Dye! My Darling really stirred the pot and made things interesting. It also showed us that Daria, like all teens, is fallible, and maybe she’s not as sure of herself as she thought.
| MOVIE - Is it Fall Yet? |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 501 - Fizz Ed |
The plot was unbelievable, there were logical inconsistencies, and it was a lousy follow-up to IIFY.
| 502 - Sappy Anniversary |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 503 - Fat Like Me |
This one changed the whole dynamic of the Fashion Club, and made them more human.
| 504 - Camp Fear |
It was funny for about one full minute, from the time Quinn said “Ew!” in the Tank, to the end of the flashback sequence. Everything else about it was lame.
| 505 - The Story of D |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 506 - Lucky Strike |
Lucky Strike provided a lot of great moments to a lot of characters (you know who you are) and marked a turning point in Quinn and Daria’s relationship that was a long time coming.
| 507 - Art Burn |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 508 - One J at a Time |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 509 - Life in the Past Lane |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 510 - Aunt Nauseam |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 511 - Prize Fighters |
Daria acts way out of character in this one, and her usual biting remarks are in response to a situation that seems almost totally contrived.
| 512 - My Night at Daria's |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 513 - Boxing Daria |
Boxing Daria gave Daria some history and depth that we needed to see, and was perhaps the most human of all the episodes. A nice way to end it all, except of course there’s one more story to tell.
