Here are my votes for Daria By Numbers. In each category, I've put my choice for best episode first, followed by all the runners-up, with the least favorite last (though in a few cases -- like the '13s -- it's a matter of "they're all good, and these are only slightly less good").

Since today is the deadline for voting, I'm not including commentary on my choices; rather, I'll simply state that my choice for the top spot is usually based on "did I like this episode enough to watch it again?" Once I did that, rather than over-analyze them, the choices became simple. :-)

Also, I've left out the '12s, since I voted on those earlier.

112 - The Teachings of Don Jake Probably the best episode of S1, behind "The Misery Chick". Jake's childhood angst... visual proof as to why the Lawndale Lanes should *stay* the black sheep of the family ('cause the rest of 'em are insane!)... and, most of all, GLITTER BERRIES!

212 - Pierce Me A good episode, but I can't enjoy it as much as I probably should because the whole 'shipper thing seems... I don't know... forced, perhaps? Like they're shoving it down our throats as if we can't pick up on the clues for ourselves. The phone conversation was one of the show's classic scenes, though. "Rrrrrrrrrredial!"

312 - Just Add Water "The Daria Hunter" and "Fair Enough" meet "Titanic" over a year too late. I support the concept of recycling, but not when it comes to scripts that were already mediocre to begin with. Really, the only stinker of this bunch.

412 - Fire! Where others see "Dawson's Creek," I see "real life" (or close enough to make no difference). Well, okay, Jake's antics are right out of "The Simpsons," but *besides* that. :-) You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who hasn't been through (or known someone who's been through) a similar situation. At the very least, it didn't play out like all of those myriad daytime and nighttime soap operas...
