| 101 - Esteemsters |
Not bad.
| 102 - The Invitation |
Actually, the first episode of Daria I saw. Mom the art teacher found the perspective lesson.
| 103 - College Bored |
Let's just say I'm not enthused to watch it.
| 104 - Cafe Disaffecto |
Andrea's first lines, and points about the Internet (from Daria) that I've also heard on Third Rock From the Sun. Took me forever to get hold of this one. Go Sarcastathons!
105 - Malled
eh.
| 106 - This Year's Model |
it seems I hardly ever get out my S1 tape.
| 107 - The Lab Brat |
An alright ep. Haven't watched it in a while - like I said earlier, I rarely get out my Season 1 tape.
| 108 - Pinch Sitter |
gotta love child warping! Jane's handy with TV blockers. (And that's my best recollection, folks...)
| 109 - Too Cute |
standout parts to me are Quinn's "one of those vicious THINGS!" rant, and Kevin asking Ms. Barch if he can take the ugly face off. Dr. Shar's just plain creepy. Andrea got a good line in, though, when Quinn was on her collection drive: "Aren't you even a *little* worried there may be a Hell?" |
| 110 - The Big House |
I like Kevin going off about Daria's parents "trying to change her generic makeup" after she goes sarcastic about *genetic* makeup! If I recall correctly, this is followed by Jane taking Jodie over to Daria's to make sure she's all right. "The little dog come home to Park Place. Park Place with a hotel." |
| 111 - Road Worrier |
Poor, poor, Daria.
| 112 - The Teachings of Don Jake |
Where can I get me some of them glitter berries?
| 113 - The Misery Chick |
"Feeling bad... not feeling worse... good."
| 201 - Arts 'N Crass" |
Love the macaroni/penne-a-la-pesto/whatever the stuff is scene, as well as sabotage method of choice.
| 202 - The Daria Hunter |
Haven't seen, but I hear those paintball thingies hurt. ^_^
| 203 - Quinn the Brain |
laugh, laugh, laugh! I never knew eggplant was a neutral.
| 204 - I Don't |
my taped copy of this has a commercial for Bridalrama, of all things! Dress gag wears out, but Luhrman (or however ya spell that) and Aunt Amy more than make up for that.
| 205 - That was Then, This is Dumb |
I think I vaguely remember parts of "That Was Then..." but have not, to my memory, seen the whole thing.
| 206 - Monster |
"Did you know pore refiner spelled backwards is renifer erop?"
| 207 - The New Kid |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 208 - Gifted |
haven't seen it, but would love to.
| 209 - Ill |
if you haven't noticed yet, I kinda forgot the show existed during S2. Can't vote on this one.
| 210 - Fair Enough |
Guess the roof repairs were top prioity on the funds list...
| 211 - See Jane Run |
yet another in a long string I haven't seen. MTV needs to re-run S2 and S3.
| 212 - Pierce Me |
If I 'd seen this *before* "I Loathe a Parade" and related eps, I just might
have been convinced to join the 'shipper crowd. The entire first act is
hilarious. And of course, when Jake opens the door at the end of the first act,
you can hear his first post-commercial line a mile away: "Quinn, your date is
here!"
| 213 - Write Where It Hurts |
maybe saw it once, for some reason "Triple bypass, Daddy!" is the only thing I remember. maybe I turned it on near the end or something...
| 301 - Through A Lens Darkly |
Haven't seen it.
| 302 - The Old And The Beautiful |
Haven't seen.
| 303 - Depth Takes A Holiday |
haven't seen, but all descriptions indicate I'd probably love it.
| 304 - Daria Dance Party |
stupid VCR/MTV difference cut off the end of this. I recall liking Jane's decorations...
| 305 - The Lost Girls |
haven't seen. Based on a picture of Val at the official site, I don't think I *want* to!
306 - It Happened One Nut |
nuts to the working world (pun fully intended!). Great ep.
| 307 - Daria! |
Probably the best of the lot. Yes, Buffy did the musical thing better, but this is pretty darn good. "Down on your knees and begin to pray/That the town blows away..."
| 308 - Lane Miserables |
wandering Lanes are a plus. Monique gets a second helping of bad press (or whatever), but I don't think she's nearly as bad as some people do.
| 309 - Jake of Hearts |
"Quinn, maybe you should start with something easier. Many coloring books feature hearts... and rainbows." Also: "This surgery stuff is HARD!" Good lines in this one, but didn't do much for me. |
| 310 - Speedtrapped |
Max failing to act like a "criminale" is pretty darn funny.
| 311 - The Lawndale File |
sparked my muse on "Cynical Guide" when all else seemed to be failing. The gathering of people in the bushes with flashlights is hilarious.
| 312 - Just Add Water |
Sucks, sucks, sucks. And I haven't even seen what the plot was
reportedly a rehash of - either of them.
| 313 - Jane's Addition |
I have been trying and Trying and TRYING! to get this ep on tape!!! The one time it was listed as a rerun, they showed some other crap instead. (Go figure.)
| 401 - Partner's Complaint |
"I know what *you* think, but I also know what *I* think, and I think I think just as well as you think! Don't you think?" (Let's hear it for Brittany, people!)
| 402 - Antisocial Climbers |
I don't think it's as bad as everyone else seems to, but it's certainly not phenomenal.
| 403 - A Tree Grows In Lawndale |
too much Kevin (that's very easy), but there's at least *some* amusing parts.
| 404 - Murder, She Snored |
tolerable, but not great.
| 405 - The 'F' Word |
I'm more likely to rewatch it than the other two [I've seen in the 05's.]
| 406 - I Loathe A Parade |
It's still a tie - between I Loathe a Parade (what do you expect from a Daria/Tom shipper?) of course I love it, it founded my shipperism! What do you expect? |
| 407 - Of Human Bonding |
eh.
| 408 - Psycho Therapy |
"Oh, Caesar, you big idiot, DO something!"
| 409 - Mart Of Darkness |
second big fight between Tom and Jane in a row - hmm, the writers couldn't possibly be leading up to something. No way. {sarcasm off} "Art supplies" is a running joke in my family now, in terms of seeing gummi bears in a store leads to "oh look, art supplies". I really like this episode for some reason. Maybe it's Andrea. Maybe it's the cheese log wars, silly though they are. Maybe it's Jane "Stumpy" Lane (the quote's been given), as she at least figures out when she's screwed up after talking the sitch over with a neutral party. In terms of S5, Daria seemed to take longer in that department. |
| 410 - Legends Of The Mall |
eh.
| 411 - Groped By An Angel |
I vaguely remember it as being pretty good. Don't have it on tape to refer to.
| 412 - Fire! |
Another Jane-Tom fight, coming
off two eps in a row that he wasn't in at all. Good line (and I'm guessing on
this): Tom - I've always had a thing for Stalin. Anoyone who changes their name from "Dzugashvili" (anyone know the spelling?) to "Man of Steel" gets points in my book. Daria - Oh, come on. You and I *both* know he only did that so his name would fit on his luggage tags. |
413 - Dye! Dye! My Darling |
screaming into a pillow works very well if you don't want to disturb the rest of the house, if anyone was wondering. ^_^
| MOVIE - Is it Fall Yet? |
12345678912xxxxxxxxxxxx
| 501 - Fizz Ed |
eh.
| 502 - Sappy Anniversary |
eh.
| 503 - Fat Like Me |
Sandi gains what, about ten, fifteen pounds? And the FC goes nuts. Daria and Jane's betting is hilarious.
| 504 - Camp Fear |
this is where I second the opinion that Daria seemed more bitchy in S5. Jane and Trent's adventures make the ep standable.
| 505 - The Story of D |
again, Daria seemed over-bitchy. What was wrong with plain old cynicism?
| 506 - Lucky Strike |
"People of Mars-I mean, students of Laaawndale Hiiigh..."
| 507 - Art Burn |
Couldn't even remember what ep this was trying to think through them. It obviously didn't leave that big an impression on me.
| 508 - One J at a Time |
could not stop laughing after this ep's original run. It's that male bonding thing... heh.
| 509 - Life in the Past Lane |
actually a good use of Upchuck, for once. A main character who's not in the Fashion Club changes outfits to impress a guy. Stacy's backbone seems to be here to stay. Daria asks Tom if they're in a rut after Jane says they might be, instead of just complaining through the episode. On the plus side all.
| 510 - Aunt Nauseam |
Aunt Amy's still cool, even if she *can* fight just as well as her sisters. That must be why she avoids them so much. Jake's code thing for whether it was safe to re-enter the house, and his forgetting it, was funny. Poor, poor Tom...
| 511 - Prize Fighters |
eh.
| 512 - My Night at Daria's |
An alright ep, but it
didn't do much for me.
| 513 - Boxing Daria |
opening black screen thing very pointless, otherwise a most excellent way to end a season.
