Here we go again! Here come the 10's. Just a quick note, this will probably be the last set of reviews until the proposed board nuke on 12/31 or 1/1/02. I've pushed up the original schedule a day so Um is able to save all the commentary before the nuke. Here we go.....
110- "The Big House" Daria and Quinn break curfew once too often, and are subject to a "family court" after Quinn is caught again, and both girls are grounded for 1 month, even though it was only Quinn the second time. Daria makes due passing the time away as she would normally do anyways, catch up on some reading. Quinn is desperately trying to find some way of finding out what's going on in the land of the popular, tying up the phone lines for hours on end. Daria finally busts out and goes to a faculty/DJ roller hockey game, in hopes of seeing Mr. DeMartino suffer another heart attack like the previous year. When she gets back Quinn has told, and the parents are upset. Daria doing what she does best, convinces Helen that's she's to dull to be worth grounding, gets off with only a probation, as does Quinn, ending the family court expiriment as a failure.
Good episode, not great, but good. Some good jokes here, and a good storyline, especially the "B" plot about the game. Nothing stands out here, but a solid episode.
Lines:
Helen: Jake, you can not revoke Daria's grounding.
Jake: But I'm Losing!
Jane: He could still have a heart attack, he tries standing up on leg and the knee is so painful he passes out.
Daria: Right.
Jane: Hey, just trying to find the silver lining.
210- "Fair Enough" After a roof collapse, the school hosts a medieval fair to raise money. Quinn auditions for and wins a role based on the Canterbury Tales over Sandi, who later confuses Quinn's lines and after Jeffy's reading, the crowd starts laughing and begins to throw food at her and force her off the stage.
Daria and Jane end up sharing a ferris wheel ride with Stacy, who won't stop crying after her date failed to call her back. Eventually, they get rid of her and end up running the information booth for Jodie and proceed to spin many yarns about yon medeival times.
Mack ends up a dragon for the kids to beat on, Mr. D. is the jouster, Kevin and Brittany end up on the highway somwewhere after Brittany keeps him away from the play as he has won the spot opposite of Quinn and she is very jealous.
I liked this episode. Probably much more than most of you. The K+B scenes were funny and not grating, Daria in the car with Quinn, the Sandi-Quinn dynamic played here, Daria and Jane in the information booth. All were good moments. No real plot outside the various goings on at the fair, yet they seem to mesh up in someway. Another great episode.
Lines:
Daria: I will make a dainty garland for my neck, and choke.
Jane: Must. Stick. Head. Cold. Water.
Kevin: Uh, babe, now I know it doesn't take this long to get to school.
Brittany: Are you suuuuuuuure?
Kevin: Aw, man!
310- "Speedtrapped" Daria gets her drivers license, and is immediately put to the test. Jane and Mystik Spiral are in jail out of state, because they're unable to pay the fine for a traffic violation. Daria must bring the bail money, and Trent's song notebook. Quinn joins in after overhearing, and causes nothing but problems. She picks up a hitchhiker and ends up giving Jane's bail money to him. Meanwhile, the band is locked up with a guy witha really annoying voice who claims to know alot about everything. Eventually with a plan designed by Quinn and ultimately worked by Daria, they got the money back, but the Lanes were paying off their debt to society by working as entertainment at the sheriff's daughters birthday party.
A good episode dealing with the relationshop between the Morgendorffer sisters, as they put it and as a running theme of the series, 2 completely opposites can complement each other and get the job done. Nice to see Daria isn't perfect, with the apparent trouble during the drivers tests.
Lines:
Jesse: We broke the cake!
Deputy: I don't have time to ride herd on every stupid man in this county, especially judges.
410- Legends of the Mall" Quinn and the FC need rides home from the mall, after Jakes car breaks down. Prompting 3 stories about Lawndale urban legends:
"Rattling Girl of Lawndale" A girl played by Sandi, makes herself so thin her bones rattle, this causes her to be laughed off from a dance, and she vows revenge on all popular girls forever after.
"Metalmouth" A teacher played by Mr. D. grinds his teeth away to nothing thanks to his students stupidity, so he forges his own set of steel dentures which pick up radio stations and end up humiliating him. He is still out there chomping away to this day.
"The House of Bad Grades" A family, played by the Morgerdorffers, builds a bomb shelter at the height of the Cold War paranoia. To escape the commotion around the house, the eldest daughter goes down in the shelter and gets sealed in after falling asleep, vowing revenge forever, that if she can't leave Lawndale, no one else can either, so she changes all homework answers of anyone who lived there to the wrong answers.
This episode is probably the bottom of S4, IMO. It was good seeing all of the characters in different period outfits, but all of the stories really did nothing for me. "Metalmouth" was probably the best of the 3, but that's still not saying much.
Lines:
Trent: Some say that's what drove him to madness, others say, you know, no.
Trent: We'll wait an hour.
Jake: An hour?! Jane-o, can't you do that counting thing?
Jane: It doesn't work if the car is on fire.
510- "Aunt Nauseam" Erin and Brian are getting a divorce and Helen is roped into handling the legal proceedings by her mother, which ends up with Rita staying over while Helen does all of the paperwork. Jake flees the house because he knows how those 2 can get into fights, and this time is no exception. They fight over everything, past and present, and by the time Erin calls and says the divorce is off, the battle is well under way with no visible signs of slowing so Daria calls Amy for reinforcements. Turns out she's also capable of getting drawn into these arguments as well so it's Daria and Quinn to the rescue. By imitating the elder sisters, the younger ones show them exactly how foolish they look when they fight. Meanwhile Tom tries to help Daria through the family crisis, but is rebuffed everytime, until Daria realzes, through Amy, that he's only trying to help and not barging in just for the sake of it.
Good episode that gets deeper into the Barksdale family history, and also foils the Amy as savior myth. She's just as prone to bouts of stupidity just like everyone else. Bonus continuity points for learning of what's going on in Erin's marriage. Time was taken away from the main plot for a totally pointless thing about Stacy, Tiffany, and owning the same dress. But otherwise a strong episode.
Lines:
The Daria-Quinn spiel showing the elder sisters how silly they looked.
Jane: You're not even excited about having a ringside seat to your cousins gutwrenching breakup?
Daria: I know, it's like I've forgotten how to have fun.
My favorite: Very close between 3 episodes here, 210, 310, and 510. but I'll go with 310-"Speedtrapped" Just an all-around better story in every aspect, no real weak points to it.
Followed closely by "Fair Enough", "Aunt Nauseam", "The Big House", and bringing up a distant rear "Legends of the Mall"
Forgive the brevity of some of these reviews as it's very late and I actually fell asleep in the middle of this. So if anything seems incoherent, my apologies in advance. Good night.

I vote for "Speedtrapped." "The Big House" gets second place. But I've only seen "Fair Enough" once and that was years ago, so I can't really remember what happened.

>110- "The Big House"
This one I *definitely* haven't seen, unlike "Too Cute" a couple of numbers back. (Naturally I've read the transcript at "Outpost Daria," but it's not the same thing.) So I can drop it right now and concentrate on the other four.
>210- "Fair Enough"
Funny. Contains the only significant Daria / Jane / Stacy encounter. We learn Jamie's last name. Besides, you get to see Upchuck in his Court Jester outfit.
And Brittany has something of a brain within her skull. Certainly she can run rings around Kevin.
>310- "Speedtrapped"
Another funny one. We learn that the rest of Mystic Spiral make Trent look like a genius. We explore the seamier side of law enforcement. We see that Quinn prefers to ditch her friends in the Fashion Club to go gallivanting off with Daria. And Daria develops a taste for country music, besides.
>410- "Legends of the Mall"
Weaker, but each tale did tell us something about what the narrator thought. We learn that Stacy (narrator of "Rattling Girl") thinks Sandi is ultimately an evil influence. We learn that Trent (narrator of "Metalmouth") thinks DeMartino wasn't much of a teacher. We learn that Jane (narrator of "The House of Bad Grades") thinks Daria gets her way by interfering with others getting their way.
Besides, we get to see a woman who might or might not be Upchuck's mother. And we learn Trent's car catches on fire often enough to not be a big deal when it does.
And we get to see the cast wear older fashions a season before "Life in the Past Lane."
>510- "Aunt Nauseam"
A fun episode, another visit with the bickering Barksdale sisters. Even Aunt Amy joins in.
And we learn that Stacy's shoulders are asymmetrical...
For the vote, well, it's a three-way competition with "Legends of the Mall" bringing up the rear. I'll go with
210 "Fair Enough"
510 "Aunt Nauseum"
310 "Speedtrapped"
410 "Legends of the Mall."

I think "Legends of the Mall," was the best fantasy episode of the whole series. In fact, maybe I'll vote for it on the MTV board. I just hope I can save this before Rich shuts the whole board down and replaces it, since my computer is back in the shop as of December 28, 2001. I'm still trying to pinpoint when in the 1950's "The House of Bad Grades" took place. I'd say sometime between 1957-1959. As for "Fair Enough," I like it because of Daria & Jane's stories about medieval times at the information booth, because it featured Daria's own natural ablilities in the creative arts, made her and Jane both the center of attention, and was kind of reminiscent of "Pinch Sitter." I had a partial list of votes, but it got lost somewhere.

110: "The Big House"
Very funny. Daria and Quinn both get punished and become the
victims of a bizarre experiment in parental jurisprudence. Judge
Jake of the family court is very entertaining, as is Daria, who
is an equal opportunity tormenetor.
Jake (to Quinn): Do you have any idea how many rules you've broken?
Daria (closing the rules tablets so Jake can't see them): How many,
Dad? And which ones?
The faculty hockey game and the pool is cute, and provides the
requisite Andrea Moment. Quinn liking the Iliad is a nice touch.
210: "Fair Enough"
I liked this more when I saw it the first time. It stretches
the bounds of credulity that a school with financial problems
would be able to afford the ornate costumes everyone wears at
the fair, but leaving that aside, it's still pretty silly. Daria
and Jane get lost in the crowd, though Quinn's abortive acting
career being undermined by Sandi and Brittany is funny. Could
be better, could be worse.
310: "Speedtrapped"
In it's way, it's almost as eccentric as "Depth Takes a Holiday,"
which is not surprising since Sam Johnson and Chris Marcil wrote
both episodes. The plot is just odd. Daria driving across the
state line to bail out Jane with Quinn riding shotgun, and along
the way they meet some very weird people.
The coolest thing about the ep is that we meet the rest of the
Spiral and learn that they are criminales, if not very good
criminales. The fake commercial break is funny, and the discovery
that the Sisters Morgendorffer can make a good team when they
want to is interesting from a character development POV.
410: "Legends of the Mall"
Timing is important, and this episode's is extremely bad. Season
Four is building up to something important, so lets do a surrealist
Treehouse of Horror type anthology episode. Great planning, guys.
Leaving aside that, it's actually pretty entertaining. Each of
the stories fits with an important theme of the show, and the
"casting" of the characters is well done. Sandi as "The Rattling
Girl of Lawndale" perfect, as is DeMartino as "Metal Mouth," and
OH is a natural for the girl doomed to curse "The House of Bad
Grades." I especially like seeing Helen as a Marion Cunningham
housewife, because it's such a fun contrast from her regular
character.
510: "Aunt Nauseam"
The famous aunt is back! Along with a whole raft of complications.
I think it was good that Amy didn't ride in and save the day, instead
falling victim to the same childhood resentments that she ridicules
her sisters for. She did manage to give Daria some helpful advice
about Tom.
The Fashion Club subplot was again fun (is it me or are the FC
subplots more important, and better done, in Season Five), with
the debate being a highlight.
Tiffany: I think I should get the dress.
Sandi: Tiffany, don't you have something to add?
Tiffany: Oh yeah. Thank you, and God bless.
Sandi (to Quinn): A debate was obviously the wrong way to go.
And Quinn and Daria officially reach detente in their sibling
war. I hope they carry that over into IICY.
As for favorites:
"The Big House"
"Aunt Nauseam"
"Speedtrapped"
"Fair Enough"
"Legends of the Mall"

Awwww Right! Actually few enough comments that I had time to read them all.
#310 Speedtrapped
Daria and I drive pretty much the same way: with our hands firmly grasping the wheel and in fear of large trucks.
I thought this episode worked well, with the Daria/Quinn dynamic and also with Jane and Spyryl (hee hee) in jail. Max crying in the jail cell was humorous, and we learn that Trent is less gullible than his band mates.
#410 LotM
This was entertaining, if you take it for what it is instead of trying to turn it into something deep.
#510 AN
Realistic bickering. Would be my sister and I in 25 years if we had a third sister. Very petty. I like how Daria and Quinn were able to stop the bickering by pointing out just how petty and rediculous it was. I wish my mom would do that instead of smacking us on the head with her dictionary.
And my vote goes to Speedrapped, with AN in second.
Toodleloo!
I could be doing something productive now, but why would I want to do that?

110 - I like Kevin going off about Daria's parents "trying to change her generic makeup" after she goes sarcastic about *genetic* makeup! If I recall correctly, this is followed by Jane taking Jodie over to Daria's to make sure she's all right.
"The little dog come home to Park Place. Park Place with a hotel."
210 - Guess the roof repairs were top prioity on the funds list...
310 - Max failing to act like a "criminale" is pretty darn funny.
410 - eh.
510 - Aunt Amy's still cool, even if she *can* fight just as well as her sisters. That must be why she avoids them so much. Jake's code thing for whether it was safe to re-enter the house, and his forgetting it, was funny. Poor, poor Tom...
best here - 510

My vote goes to Speedtrapped. Not only was it the best of season 3, but it is one of the best of the series. It is funny and well-executed with a plot that doesn't get too complex and presents us with an interesting story.
Followed by Legends of the Mall. Funny stuff.
The rest were all pretty "eh," The Big House not so bad as the others (perhaps bad is the wrong word here...they were all *okay*).

M'kay, now. This is gonna be hard since there's three that are neck and neck with me, but I'll go with "Speedtrapped", as getting your license is a major point in anyone's life. Favorite line: The judge's wife-"I want your art and you're gonna give it to me!" Jane-"heh"
2-Aunt Nauseum- Simply since it revealed more of the Barksdale family(And I'm a closet Amy fan)
3-"The Big House"- Originally was going to be my #1, but the first two just have it beat.
4-Fair Enough- Great originally, but eclipsed by later eps, still some good lines.
5-Legends of the Mall- Shame, since I thought the "B"plot meshed as well or better than most eps. Still, it could've been done better.

Thanks, A.J...
>110- "The Big House"
Not the best, but one I definitely like, especially the hockey game flashback.
>210- "Fair Enough"
Not bad, but it feels too much like "The Daria Hunter," and showed that the "ensemble" episodes were already starting to lose their sheen. Pluses: an appearance by Linda Griffin, Stacy crying on the ferris wheel, more craftiness from Brittany, and some good Sandi/Quinn rivalry.
>310- "Speedtrapped"
The whole set-up felt contrived, but I like that it was the first episode to show Daria and Quinn working together (aside from smaller moments), and there were several funny moments. One more subtle: anyone notice how much Jane and the female con looked alike?
>410- Legends of the Mall" Quinn and the FC need rides home from the mall, after Jakes car breaks down. Prompting 3 stories about Lawndale urban legends:
This one was entertaining, but it felt like filler. "Metal Mouth" was the best. Btw, the "Upchuck" segment of "The House of Bad Grades" took place in the 70's, during the first women's push for empowerment. That's why Upchuck's "mother" complains "How can I feel better about *myself* when...?" I don't think it's supposed to be insight into Upchuck's family.
>510- "Aunt Nauseam"
I kept thinking what this episode might have been. Like, if they'd cut out the pointless F.C. subplot, they might have had time for some flashbacks, or Amy might have shown up sooner. I was hoping all three of the sisters would spend more time with each other and give us info that wasn't a rehash of what we've known. The vicious fighting felt more like tired bickering (I've had louder arguments with my car!), and Daria and Quinn's reenactment didn't really seem to solve anything -- Helen already knew she and Rita were acting silly; the real question was why. Jake's response to the whole thing was just beyond childish. Other than that, it was great to see the aunts again. The episode was long overdue.
Because I'm often hardest on the ones I like best:
1. Aunt Nauseam
2. Speedtrapped
3. Fair Enough
4. The Big House
5. Legends of the Mall

Whew! After reading some of the posts on this thread, I'm glad *some* people went with "Speedtrapped" as their favorite of the "10's". I'll concur with this. "Speedtrapped" to me may have been THE definitive Daria-Quinn bonding episode, and much better than the others in this category. The phony commercial bumper was quite humorous, and caught me off guard. Seeing Daria trying to drive was funny. Quinn talking about "What do you think people DO on a date, Daria?", particularly in the bar, a possible foreshadowing of "IICY?" was funny, too. And I LOVED how Quinn confidently stepped on the top of the bar counter to get the bail money, with Daria saying, "Uh, *Quinn*--?" The suggestion here about you-know-what had me laughing out loud. The others:
(2) #110 - "The Big House" - The kooky "Parental Court" idea of Helen's was amusing. This ep might have been famous for one thing: Who *was* that bringing Daria home so late? (Guy from "Malled"?)
(3) #510 - "Aunt Nausaem" - Aunt Amy isn't all-knowing! :D
(4) #410 - Legends of the Mall" - I put this before "Fair Enough" ONLY because "FE" sorta recycled it's plot from "The Daria Hunter" (been there, done that, yadda, yadda, yadda, etc...). A previous poster brought up a good point about Stacy seeing Sandi as nasty here (in a subconscience way): Was this the *first* ep where Stacy (indirectly) hinted at this? Best of the three mini-stories (to me): DeMartino's Metalmouth, followed by Daria's house of bad grade story, then Sandi's.
(5) #210 - "Fair Enough" - See above.

Well, I never saw "Big House" or "Fair Enough" (unfairly enough). So I'll rank the remaining three by preference:
1) Speedtrapped: Just a well-paced collection of smart gags and far ranging situations that bring out the best in the characters. Very good.
2) Aunt Nauseum: Aunt Amy rushes to Daria's side so quickly that she forgets to pack her dignity. Too bad. The result is a formulaic sit-com resolution to the whole mess. Daria's reaction to Tom continues to puzzle (but not necessarily in a bad way). Flawed but decent episode.
3) Legends of the Mall: The House of Bad Grades and the running joke about Trent's car keep this one afloat (or is it adrift)? The sketch about the (particularly) psychotic shop teacher has it's moments as well. Rattling Girl provides one of the few painfully dumb, "crickets-chirping" type moments in the series. Fun episode in it's way, but not great.

>110- "The Big House" Daria and Quinn break curfew once too often, and are subject to a "family court" after Quinn is caught again, and both girls are grounded for 1 month, even though it was only Quinn the second time.
Daria and Quinn found getting grounded boring, as did I. And I just don't have patience for Jake and Helen's parenting, and the "family court" debacle. Yeah, it's just a TV show, but enough rang wrong for me to dismiss this one as watchable. Not the episode about which one spends hours wrangling over minutiae.
>210- "Fair Enough" After a roof collapse, the school hosts a medieval fair to raise money.
I dunno...maybe I'm jaded, or maybe I've written too many reviews, or maybe I only watched this one once. But it sorta seemed like a "and then more stuff happened" episode. I'm sure Daria and Jane were witty...didn't pull my chain, what can I say?
>310- "Speedtrapped" Daria gets her drivers license, and is immediately put to the test.
I love this episode. My favorite thing is Jane drawing Goya's "The Shootings of May 3, 1808" in green pen on the jailhouse wall. See it at: http://history.hanover.edu/courses/art/goyamy3.html. I'm sure that caused some plain-drunk miscreants to scratch their heads.
About the painting: "The horrors of warfare were of great concern to Goya, who observed firsthand the battles between French soldiers and Spanish citizens during the bloody years of the Napoleonic occupation of Spain. In 1814 he completed Second of May, 1808 and Third of May, 1808 (both Prado). These paintings depict horrifying and dramatically brutal massacres of groups of unarmed Spanish street fighters by French soldiers." Site: http://www.island-of-freedom.com/GOYA.HTM
But enough about painting... Quinn and Daria in an enclosed space -- why hadn't anyone thought of this before! Quinn screws up, Quinn saves the day, Daria fails to save the day, Daria gets all butch on a suitcase...shadows and light, no black-and-white solutions in these 22 minutes. Yeah!
And least we forget the Playing with Form Meta-Prize -- the fake interstitial, when Quinn comes clean about giving the money to the singing cowboy. I really, REALLY liked that. But I'm a sucker for gimmicks.
Even the Mystic Sprial bit -- especially the song at the end -- was entertaining. A very fine episode of Daria, go watch it.

Another dopey ensemble episode with a preposterous premise. Several things save this from being drek:
The Fashion Club deciding that they can't ask for directions at that house because they have a carport. I dunno...watching the girls deal with a real tract-home neighborhood did me a lot of good.
Daria in the 50s...that was inspired. Too bad they just didn't make that the whole episode. "G-D idiot." Muy bueno.
Okay...it wasn't just a dopey ensemble episode...it was cutting parody. Certainly worth another spin, with the understanding that it ain't perfect.

>510- "Aunt Nauseam" Erin and Brian are getting a divorce and Helen is roped into handling the legal proceedings by her mother, which ends up with Rita staying over while Helen does all of the paperwork.
What married man can't identify with Jake? AMG, you with me on this, bro? All my married homeys say "YO!" and drink a pitcher of martinis.
One of those episodes that, for me, transcends being a kids cartoon about a smart girl and enters the realm of character study, examination of family dynamics over generations, and the kids being all right. Funny, here we have Daria and Quinn grudgingly on the same team, again, and it's very cool.
And I'm not bugged by the dress subplot...transparently another take on conflict resolution, but it did show at least two of the Fashion Club members have hearts, and value each other over stuff like dresses, which warmed my cockles.
I dunno...it just feels like a good episode.
I don't like "Fair Enough" nearly as much as you do, hombre. Aunt Nauseam and Speedtrapped ought to be in different categories or something, so I wouldn't have to pick between them, though.
I'll pick Speedtrapped for my vote, for the Goya, and because I really enjoyed Quinn torturing Daria, while they did in the end get it together. If Aunt Naseam had had more moments like Daria and Quinn mocking the Helen and the aunts, I would have won me over.
>Forgive the brevity of some of these reviews as it's very late and I actually fell asleep in the middle of this. So if anything seems incoherent, my apologies in advance. Good night.
We appreciate it, or at least I do. Thanks!

I'm still wondering which band on WUSB played the REAL "Pain-Gasm." I could look it up on their website and check the playlists, but that's no guarantee since I've heard dozens of other songs on that station I'm still trying to track down. Plus, not every D.J. there has their own website with a playlist.

She looked good like that. I think KnightHawke and his wife brought that up when it aired, and I agree with them.

Too bad it's NOT listed as one of the best fantasy episodes on the MTV Voting page.

#10: The Big House, Fair Enough, Speedtrapped, Legends of the Mall, Aunt Nauseam
WINNER: #310, Speedtrapped
The Daria-Quinn interaction was great, we got to know the band a little better, and we met the guy who met Jimmy Hendrix!
Loser: None
None of them sucked.

Favorite : Speedtrapped - Daria's insecurity about driving was done well, as was the sister's relationship. Satisfying episode with a satisfying ending.
Runners-up
The Big House - Parents do stupid things for stupid reasons. Putting up with is takes fortitude.
Aunt Nauseum - Nice to see the family.
Fair Enough - Cute situation. Would have been better if Daria and Jane did more than just react to it.
Legends of the Mall - Nice alter egos and the "funny story" joke was good, but this one was almost painful.

I have yet to see "The Big House" or "Fair Enough", so I'll skip them and go on to "Speedtrapped". This episode is definitely a very good one. One can definitely feel for Daria here -- she's just gotten her license when Jane asks her to bail Mystik Spiral out of jail in a town where the group's performing, and then Quinn tags along, leading to an encounter with a smooth-talking cowboy talking Quinn out of the money Daria was bringing along to help Jane out! Fortunately, Daria & Quinn find out that they can be a good team as they get money from other cowboys! Here we definitely see signs that Daria & Quinn are moving toward being more like each other than they were in Season 1.
"Legends of the Mall" was a good "filler" episode, neat fun but without much content. Still, that's not always such a bad thing, as this episode shows. I would probably say that of the stories-within-the-story, "Metal Mouth" is the best, but none of the stories were terrible. Basically, pleasant fun.
And last but not least, there's "Aunt Nauseum". The return of Aunt Amy & Aunt Rita is a good one, and it creates good continuity with "The Story of D", where we learned of marital problems between Rita's daughter, Erin, & Brian. We see that compared to the Barksdale sisters, Daria & Quinn are normal -- Helen, Rita, & even Amy get into the most silly fights ever, as Daria & Quinn show them. It's interesting to see the reactions of Quinn and Daria to the arguing in their household before Daria calls in Aunt Amy. The only bad point is possibly the "B" plot with Stacy & Tiffany having similar dresses. Oh, and Daria's actions toward Tom while her mother and Aunt Rita are arguing aren't great either, but fortunately she makes up for them at the end.
I think the best of the lot that I've seen is "Speedtrapped", followed by "Aunt Nauseum", and then "Legends of the Mall".

MY VOTE FOR THE x10'S
Posted by D. T. Dey on Dec-31-1969 7:00pm from 168.191.74.33
You guessed it, "Sppedtrapped"(#310).
And Like Mike Yamiolkoski, I feel none of them sucked, although "Legends of the Mall"(#410), comes close to tying with #310.
"The Big House"(#110), has Daria coming home in a strange car from an undisclosed location, and spouting out prison cliches at Jake & Quinn. "Fair Enough"(#210), has Daria in the library in the first scene, and telling fantastic stories of the middle ages towards the end. "Aunt Nauseum"(#510), has the return of Aunt Amy, who we find is nowhere near the superwoman that Lara Croft is, althought I wanted to see more of the goings on within Erin's wedding. And I still can't find "Star Planet Warriors" on IMDb.
