Cartoons For My High School Newspaper (circa 1992-93)

I don't do cartoons like this anymore. I just don't have time! They took 5 hours of drawing and shading. And even so, the labor went unappreciated, because apart from some comments from my friends and fellow staffers, I never received any feedback.

1) This was done back when the Bosnia war first escalated. Funny: it's still relevant.

A UN soldier falls a little off his mark.

2) This one makes note of the U.S. policing of Iraq. It's one of my favorites except for one thing: the quotes mistakenly read from right to left instead of left to right.

Parental discretion is advised.

3) This caused a stir amongst a few of the graduating staffers. I (a lowly sophomore) managed to get permission from the principal to print it.

A surprise graduation gift.

4) Can you deny that this one is more true than ever?

The formula for the perfect high school student.
