Helen is best known as the workaholic mother from Daria .She has made a couple of notable appearances on Abruptly Amy
to this date, in "A.A. A.O.K." and "Crouching Lawyer, Hidden Agenda," where her true nature is finally laid out for all to see!  Not only does she blame Amy for transforming Daria into a cynic, but she also has detailed plans for returning Daria to the "conformist fold."  These plans included talking Daria into getting contact lenses and arranging for the wealthy, clean-cut Tom Sloan to become her boyfriend -- both accomplished on episodes of Daria.  As she tells Amy in a chilling tone: "Daria's de-cynicizing has already begun." Finally, the Helen that Helen-haters and Tom-haters and Jake-lovers knew existed!  One that exists beyond the realm of their fanfics! Helen in Abruptly Amy is more nasty and smug, especially to Amy, with whom she has a rivalry.  Of course, that should come as no surprise to her critics...
